Jirishanca

[Left] Nick Bullock amidst the avalanche debris at the base of Jirishanca's southeast face in 2002. Bullock was hit by snow and fell some 150 meters before coming to a rest. His partner on the attempt, Alun Powell, was carried twenty meters, but was unhurt. Both men would return in 2003 to climb the face only to be stopped 150 meters shy of the summit by bad weather.
