Poles Make First Winter Ascent of Broad Peak

Just a few hours ago, between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m., local time, a Polish team made up of Maciej Berbeka, Adam Bielecki, Tomasz Kowalski and Artur Malek reached the 8047m summit of Broad Peak (aka K3) in the Gasherbrum massif of the Karakoram. Their climb marks the first winter ascent of the peak.
