showQTMovie( ‘/media/web10w/video_continuum_icefall.mov’, 480, 270);

Jon Walsh and Ian Welsted venture into Icefall Brook, a remote ice amphitheater in British Columbia. Download The Continuum Project or buy the DVD to watch the pair in action on a beautiful new mixed line.

The Continuum Project, a new climbing film shot entirely in high definition by Chris Alstrin, follows some of the world’s best climbing talent around the globe to document bold new routes and daring repeats on ice, rock, and in the alpine. Check out the full trailer here.

The film extends the focus of Higher Ground to gain new perspective on the motivations and courage of some of the world’s top climbers.

Alpinist will launch six shorts by filmmaker Chris Alstrin–available only on Alpinist.com–that give a taste of his new film. We’ve already released footage of a new route on Kwangde Shar (6093m) in Nepal’s Khumbu Himal and Guy Lacelle on a 180-meter WI6 free solo.
