Over nearly six weeks, from April to June 2008, Germans Stefan Glowacz, Robert Jasper, Holger Heuber, Mariusz Hoffman and Klaus Fengler explored the remote northeastern coast of Baffin Island, Canada by snowmobile, sledge, skis and kites. Their major success, Take the Long Way Home (mostly aid with free sections up to 5.13, 21 pitches, 2,300’), they completed on the previously unclimbed Bastion by seiging the wall for two weeks. Glowacz’s free sections are some of the hardest ever climbed on Baffin Island.
