Angela is a Chick with a Pick, a Woman that Rocks and an Exum Mountain Guide. She’s an AMGA certified Rock Guide, a member of the AMGA Instructor Pool and has guided full-time for the past twenty-one years. Angela has guided more than twenty high altitude expeditions throughout Asia and South America, and five on Denali. Personal endeavors have taken her to Patagonia, Pakistan, India and Nepal multiple times, and she has climbed extensively throughout the U.S. A few of her adventures include: deputy leader of the first disabled ascent of Everest in 1998 (reached the south summit), organizing and summiting Ama Dablam with an all-women expedition in 2003 (that raised $23,000 for the dZi Foundation) and in 1988 completing a ski traverse across Lapland from Sweden to Norway. She serves on the Board of Directors for the American Mountain Guides Association and has been an Alpinist Mountain Standards Panelist since the inception of the program. Angela’s home is in Ridgway, Colorado.
