NEW BELGIUM OFFICIAL BEER SPONSOR OF 2007 AFF

February 22, 2007 — Jackson, Wyoming — The Alpinist Film Festival announced today that New Belgium will be the official beer sponsor of the 2007 Alpinist Film Festival. The Festival will be held in downtown Jackson, Wyoming, from March 15-17, at the city’s new Center for the Arts.

New Belgium is the first official beer sponsor for the Alpinist Film Festival and represents the Festival’s growth and expansion as an international festival. At least four beers will be available on tap and a portion of the proceeds of the liquor sales–which will be poured for a suggested donation–will benefit One Percent for the Tetons, the Festival’s charity for the 2007 event.

“Not only will we have great films at a great venue with great speakers for the 2007 Festival,” said Festival producer Wayne Roberts. “We’ll also be having great beer, from a great company that supports great causes.”

Based out of Fort Collins, Colorado, and perhaps known best for its Fat Tire beer, New Belgium is widely respected for its philanthropic interests and responsible business practices. The company has donated more than two million dollars to various organizations across the country; it donates at least $1 for every barrel sold to various charities.

“It’s incredibly exciting to have New Belgium sign on as our first-ever beer sponsor,” said Festival Director and Alpinist Editor Christian Beckwith. “They’re a great company with values that parallel our own. As The Alpinist Film Festival continues to grow, we look forward to New Belgium being by our sides, supporting our vision and pouring some of the best beer in America at each and every event.”

The 2007 Alpinist Film Festival takes place March 15-17 in Jackson, Wyoming at the Center for the Arts. Feature presenters include Mark Newcomb, Gerry Lopez, and Dean Potter. Tickets are $16 in advance and $18 at the door (price does not include six percent sales tax or the Center for the Arts’ ten percent surchage). Tickets are available through the Center for the Arts and can be purchased through their box office and online by visiting the Center’s website at www.jhcenterforthearts.org.
